Joy Luck Gets RED-Y!!!

The first get together for my Joy Luck happened last Friday at RED of Makati Shangri-la Hotel. It was at 7:30 pm and for the first time or maybe the 2nd, I was the first one there. I was even 10 minutes early and was glad to have music in my iPhone so that I was somewhat entertained while waiting for the rest to arrive.

Now a little tidbit....I sat right in front of a presidential candidate who was dining with 2 women. He often went to the toilet. I think I counted 5 times during the whole dinner.I don't know who I am voting for yet...but when my friend happened to be in the toilet with him, he noticed that our presidentiable didn't wash his hands after going peepee...OH NO!!!!! EEEUUWW!!!

ANYWAY...the girls had a blast talking about bags, jewelry and of course, how the women should handle their husbands' money. BWA HA HA HA!!! AMEN to that!

The food arrived!!! My soup came super late but Chef Thomas Linke came out and apologized so I forgave him and even asked for a photo!

Everyone seemed happy with their starters. I personally loved my soup. But here's the real deal! The Main Course! The food was good. I noticed that all plates were wiped clean.





The best part of a dining experience, the dessert! In this case though, I have had better. Being with AG, I guess I have become a self proclaimed dessert connoisseur.
