I was almost going to give up when my friend CB asked me if I wanted to use her house in Batangas. I told her how many we are and was ready to hear that her house is too small. Indeed this is what she said but then she told me about her neighbor who might be willing to lend her house. It is a DUPLEX and had plenty of room if we are able to use both houses. I was at the edge of my seat with excitement with the thought that I might be able to find a place for the Dizon family after all.
When I got the text that both owners are willing to lend us the houses, I was filled with hope that despite the huge loss and sadness we were all feeling, we might find a few light moments being away from Manila.
After a short drive, we arrived in the Enrile Compound where the houses were located. It was so good to know that we were the only ones there. We had the whole cove to ourselves and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect. We brought food enough to feed a continent so we didn't need to leave the beach house for the whole stay. I cannot thank CB and CS enough!
A little story to share with you....
Here's where Mom is now....
We chose this urn for her because it is the only one that speaks of her the most. Her love for flowers and nature is one of the best ways to describes mom.
As soon as we got to the beach house, my dad asked for a cup of coffee and here's what the cups look like.
Small signs like these make us feel that mom is still with us.
