Rani Mukherjee has a meaty role in 'Aiyyaa' but feels it wouldn't be right to call it a "woman-centric" film. She says it is more of a simple love story.
"I would call it a romantic film, and I wouldn't categorise this as a woman-centric story," Rani said in a press conference. The story of 'Aiyyaa' revolves around a Marathi girl, Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani), whose parents are looking for a suitable groom for her. She falls in love with a Tamil boy, essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Rani looked pretty in a cream-coloured anarkali suit at the event, where she was accompanied by Prithviraj and director Sachin Kundalkar. The team came late, but Rani won everyone's heart with her fun interaction and million-dollar smile. The team also showed a four-minute version of the song "Aga bai" from the movie. Post 'Aiyyaa', Rani will be seen in director Reema Kagti's 'Talaash'. She is quite positive, and prefers not to look back at the past. "I am doing 'Talaash' and I am very happy talking about films that I do. There is no point talking about films that I rejected or I regret doing," she said.
