Revisiting Our Farm, Without Mom.

It's been two years since I last went to our farm in Siniloan. Ever since my Mom got ill, we have stopped going to our favorite weekend rest house.

Mom and Dad built this place from scratch. You can't imagine what mess of a marsh land it was in the beginning. When my Dad brought us the first time, we were like, "EEWWWW....."

But now, all the baby plants that Mumsy planted with her bare hands have become tall trees! She landscaped the entire place by herself. I can just see her, with gloves on, a wide hat, white linen shirt and pants, scissors in one hand, snipping away dead leaves. She talked to the flowers, blessed them as she pruned. My dad on the other hand was in charge of watering them. They were a great tandem.

I wasn't sure if I was ready to go back to Siniloan without her but I guess it was about time to face the pain of seeing her baby but not her.

Ondoy did quite a damage to the houses. Those will be fixed by Daddy soon. We plan to spend our Christmas break there.

I was amazed at how beautiful her garden is though. It is as if, she were still there, nurturing the garden.

I miss her. I miss her a lot. Up until now, if I look at her photo for a long time, tears will spill. But I suppose, much like the seedlings that she planted and now has grown sturdy and tall, we must also keep our strength to go on.

It's good to have lots of family members and siblings who always look out for one another. I am blessed to be a Dizon.

Happy Easter Mom!! I love you.
